Meet Sam, your trusted mental performance coach at Focused Flow Performance. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Saint Norbert College (SNC), a Master's degree in Sport Psychology from Florida State University (FSU), and a certification from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), Sam brings a unique blend of expertise to the table.
Sam's journey in sport psychology and mental performance includes working closely with various athletic teams and high level athletes. Some of these clients include football, baseball, and golf athletes from FSU, the FSU club rowing teams, a high school cross country team from Idaho, and a local wrestling club by the name of Grapple House Wrestling. At Florida State University, Sam also mentored student athletes, fostering their academic success.
His playing career in sports included being a two-sport high school athlete, excelling in both basketball and football, as well as time spent on the college football field at SNC. This unique blend of experiences has shaped his understanding of the mental and physical side of sport, leading to a passion for enhancing athletic performance.
In addition, Sam's passion for sports extends to coaching. He coached for two seasons as an assistant football coach at Waynesville High School and also has a strong background in coaching youth basketball, spending time with the Wisconsin Blizzard for two years.
Sam spent 2 years at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, as a Performance Expert and Cognitive Specialist with SRI. Today, he works at the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh as the Director of Athletics. With a passion for enhancing performance and a wealth of experience, Sam is your go-to partner for achieving excellence in sports and life.
